The Dow Chemical Company Introduces Broken Glass Stabilizer - Product Secures Broken Glass In SecondsMarietta, GA – April 30, 2007 The Dow Chemical Company will introduce one of its newest products, Broken Glass Stabilizer™ (BGS™) during the National Hardware Show in Orlando, FL May 8-11, 2007. Each year approximately 300 million square feet of glass is shattered in North America. Whether broken by a baseball, a hurricane or a vandal, fractured glass is a danger and must be secured. Dow BGS™ uses a proprietary, patent-pending technology that allows users to secure a broken glass window almost immediately with a spray-on polymeric foam. Users can secure broken glass instantly, fuse hazardous broken glass into a safe panel, patch window holes with a weather-tight seal; and trap glass shards into a manageable solid. “Dow BGS™ is perfect for facility managers and maintenance staff as well as home owners because of its quick and easy option for glass clean-up, removal and protecting others from broken glass,” said Jeff Fancher, brand manager for The Dow Chemical Company. “Most important, the product secures itself in seconds and cures very quickly.” Dow BGS™ is manufactured by the makers of GREAT STUFF™ Insulating Foam Sealant, the number one selling foam sealant in the world. Benefits of Dow BGS™ include reducing the risk of injury, securing broken glass in seconds, eliminating time consuming glass cleanup and avoids costly and cumbersome plywood fabrication. The product is ideal for residential and commercial properties, automotive applications and education facilities. The Dow BGS™ 24 kit will secure two 3 x 4 foot windows. About Dow
